The payroll industry is typically loaded with confusing industry jargon and stressful tax sessions, and there hasn't been much change in decades both in culture and behaviour. However, technologically there has been huge improvement in the space, which is something that Buffalo Payroll has adopted quite early on.

They use the software 'Xero', which enables them to provide efficient bookkeeping and payroll services while keeping the confusing side of the industry as diluted as possible. This has been done through simple marketing, easy communication and effective networking.

Buffalo Payroll needed to communicate who they are in a very quick and straightforward way, which is where the new identity and messaging comes in. As a personification of their message, we developed a mascot in relation to their name which consumers and clients could relate to. It simplified confusing topics and acted as a warm welcome into the industry. Alongside this, we improved their original blue colour scheme, developing more hues for them to use across marketing and providing them with a brighter, more approachable look.

Since the rebrand was revealed, there has been a sharp and steady spike in social channel growth, as well as the company winning more client proposals and producing more sales sitewide year-on-year. They've also received many compliments on their new look, which has made us blush!
